Baby Joana’s First Photo Experience

I met Daniela and João back in 2019 when we went to Sintra for their engagement photoshoot so when I got an email from Andréa, Daniela’s sister, back in December 2022 telling me they just had a baby I was beyond thrilled!

Andréa also wanted to gift Daniela and João a family photoshoot for Christmas as she knew how much they loved their first experience with me which, to be honest, melts my heart ‘till today.

And so the day came and, wow, how precious it was to testify in first person the love Daniela and João have for baby J. I already knew how much they loved each other but seeing them as parents just hit differently.

There’s something quite priceless about photographing families and, particularly, families with babies. You see, during our first few years on Earth we do not retain many memories and to know that, years from now, Baby J will have these snippets from her history to look at every time she wants to revisit memories she might have forgotten about… That, right there, is the ultimate goal of photography.

Photography is a legacy and it gets more and more valuable as the time passes by.
