The Hunts
The first Hunt family member I met was Taber. Back in 2022 I flew all the way to London to capture his engagement photos. He and sweet Anita were tying the knot in 2023 and they wanted to make sure that that super special season of their lives would be safe forever.
We met again in 2023, for a small post-wedding experience that became one of the most joyful afternoons of my life. It’s just so easy to connect with them and their vibe is so peaceful and inspiring!
So, when Taber reached out asking if I would fly back to London once again, this time to capture the essence of their family, you better bet that I booked my flight right away! The only thing better than 2 Hunts is 8 Hunts!
You see, Anita and Taber live in London but they are originally from the USA so there’s this thing called “distance” that seem even bigger during festive times like Christmas. For the first time in 5 years, Taber would be able to spend his Christmas not only with his parents but also his sister, brother in law and nephews. If that’s not a damn good reason to celebrate, then I don’t know what would be!
We met at Holland Park in a cold winter and, well, grey day for this special reunion and let me tell you: it was absolutely phenomenal! Kids had fun, adults were able to connect and enjoy their time together and the photos, well, I’ll let you decide what to say about that but as I see it, they look like museum worth baroque paintings.
My heart is full, knowing that the Hunts now have their legacy safe forever and that in times where they miss each other they can now return to these unique and extremely valuable memories they got to share. And especially for the kids, I bet they’ll value these snippets of their lives even more as the time passes by and their memories start to fade and people whom they deeply love will not be here to hug them anymore.
Photography is like Porto wine: it gets more and more valuable with time and I am so glad I got to meet the Hunts because I too, will cherish these memories forever.
